Based on a famouse garden in Kanazawa Japan, Buffalo's sister city, the garden is located on the banks
of MIrror Lake and features three islands, Japanese garden lanterns, and a strolling garden with rustic
stone steps imported from Japan and installed by skilled Japanese master gardeners. Walk this beautiful garden ,
built over thirty years ago, and enjoy the horticultural masterpiece of over 1000 plants, including 50 flowering
cherry trees and an extensive hosta collection donated by the Hosta Society of Western New York. Also enjoy the
many Maple trees that are especially striking in the fall. The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy will be glad to
arrange for a highly informed and engaging tour guide. Each tour can be tailored to the interests of the group
with an emphasis on history, horticulture, or Japanese gardening. Call 716-838-1249 Ex10 to make arrangements in
advance. For more information and list of nearby attractions, check out our digitial map at the following link
